Are these 3 departments represented in your weekly L10 meetings?
Launching Your Weekly Level 10 Meetings™
Starting a new routine like the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ can feel daunting, but it’s a crucial step in getting the most out of the EOS® framework. Here are four best practices to help you kick off this new behavior effectively.
1. Curate Your Invite List
Deciding who to invite is the first step. While the term ‘leadership team’ might seem a bit formal or intimidating, think of it as a strategic meeting. Who are the key players that need to be at the table? At a minimum, ensure representation from three major functions: sales, production or operations, and finance. Typically, this means having four to six individuals present, though larger teams may require more.
2. Schedule Consistently
Look ahead at the next two weeks and find a 90-minute slot where everyone can meet. This initial time might not be permanent, but it’s essential to get it on the calendar. Expect some bumps in the beginning as schedules adjust, but the key is to start and protect this time.
3. Assign Calendar Ownership
Determine who will own the calendar invite. Usually, this responsibility falls to the integrator, but it can be delegated to an admin if needed. The important thing is to have one person responsible for managing the invite, making adjustments, and ensuring everyone is informed.
4. Maintain Consistency
The meeting should happen regardless of who is absent. Whether the owner or integrator is away, the meeting must go on. This consistency ensures that the team continues to tackle important issues and priorities every week.
These four practices will help you establish the habit of a weekly Level 10 Meeting™, ensuring your team communicates effectively and addresses key priorities consistently.
